Hannah Street Owens serves as the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion's Diversity Research and Assessment Specialist. In this role, she is primarily responsible for facilitating, managing and organizing the diversity research for the division along with assessing the diversity initiatives of the both the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion and key university partners. In addition, Hannah has served on several standing and ad hoc committees at Mississippi State University including the President's Commission on the Status of Minorities, the Institutional Effectiveness Committee, the Work Life Balance Committee, and the College of Forest Resources Diversity Committee.

Hannah earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the department of Instructional Systems & Workforce Development at Mississippi State University in 2015. She received a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 2007 while working with the Alcorn School District in the central testing office and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, double majoring in marketing and human resource management, from the University of North Alabama in 2005. Hannah began her professional career at MSU in 2008 as a Coordinator for the Center for Distance Education and also served as the Instructional Resource Consultant with the Center for Teaching & Learning before coming to the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion in 2015. In addition, Hannah has taught undergraduate statistics courses at Mississippi State University as an adjunct instructor and was named as the Mann-Parker Council Education Scholarship Recipient in 2011.
